Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 26.09.2026

1. About these terms

These terms apply to all bookings made with Mamarè Studio. Mamarè Studio is a brand of Lombardo Ceramics, a sole proprietorship owned by Melissa Lombardo, Knuslistrasse 6, 8004 Zürich, Switzerland. By booking a course, workshop, kids' session or event, you agree to these terms. For questions, write to hello@mamarestudio.com.

2. Bookings and payment

All bookings are made through our website or, for private events and team building, by written agreement. A booking is confirmed once payment has been received. Prices are listed in CHF and include all materials, tools, glazing and firing unless stated otherwise.

3. Cancellations by you

Courses: You can cancel free of charge up to 14 days before the first session. After that, the course fee cannot be refunded, but you can transfer your place to another person by letting us know in advance.

Workshops and kids' workshops: You can cancel free of charge up to 2 days before the session. Later cancellations and no-shows are not refunded.

Private events and team building: A deposit of 30% is required to confirm the date and is non-refundable. The final number of participants must be confirmed 7 days before the event; this number will be charged in full. Cancellations less than 7 days before the event are charged in full.

4. Missed course sessions

If you miss a session of a multi-week course, we will try to offer a make-up session where space allows, but we cannot guarantee it. Missed sessions are not refunded.

5. Changes and cancellations by us

If we need to cancel or reschedule a session (for example due to illness or too few participants), we will offer you a new date or a full refund. We are not responsible for any other costs you may have incurred, such as travel.

6. Children's workshops and birthdays

Kids' workshops are designed for children aged 5-17. Parents or guardians remain responsible for their children when they are not in an organised session. For birthday parties, at least one adult from the hosting family must be present for the whole event. Please tell us in advance about any allergies or special needs.

7. Your pieces

Ceramics is a handmade process, and every piece is unique. Colours may look different after firing, and pieces can occasionally crack or break in the kiln; we do our best, but we cannot guarantee the final result. Glazed pieces are usually ready 4 weeks after your session. We will let you know when they are ready, and ask you to collect them within 30 days. Pieces not collected within this time may be recycled.

8. In the studio

Clay and glaze can stain, so please wear comfortable clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Aprons are provided. Please follow the instructions of the teacher, especially around the wheels and tools. Food and drinks offered in the studio are prepared in advance; let us know about allergies or dietary needs when booking.

9. Liability

Participation in our activities is at your own risk. Participants are responsible for having their own accident and liability insurance. Lombardo Ceramics is liable only for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, within the limits of Swiss law. We are not responsible for lost or damaged personal belongings.

10. Photos and social media

We sometimes take photos and videos in the studio to share on our website and social media. If you prefer not to appear, just tell us at the start of your session. We never share images of children without the consent of a parent or guardian.

11. Personal data

We use your personal data only to manage your booking and, if you have subscribed, to send you our newsletter. More details are in our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on our website at the time of your booking applies.

13. Applicable law

These terms are governed by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is Zürich.
